Today we took the train from Shanghai to Hangzhou. Hangzhou is a beautiful city and most famous for the peaceful West Lake. If you have enough time, come and spend at least 3 days in Hangzhou, there’s plenty to see and do. You can walk around the West Lake easily, but we decided to use the great public bicycle hire system. We stayed at Wushanyi Youth Hostel. It was quite hard to find the hostel, even though we had the address in Chinese, it took us 20 minutes until we found someone who knows this place. Besides that, the hostel was nice and the staff friendly, but was quite expensive due to national holiday.
Our rating for Wushanyi Youth Hostel is 6 out of 10.
We spent our days in Hangzhou very calmly. We visited Lonjing tea fields, Six Harmonies Pagoda, Lingyin Temple, took a cable car for a nice view point, took a cruise in the beautiful West Lake and had a nice bicycle riding. Every place we visited in Hangzhou was worth it. We really enjoyed the atmosphere, the West Lake and the beautiful surroundings. The sunset was incredible. The Chinese were so friendly and lovely, you can watch them dancing almost anywhere, and of course, have fun and join them.
Our rating for Hangzhou is 8 out of 10.
